This exhibition focuses on Mount Fuji, a subject that Taikan devoted his entire life to depicting.
We are pleased to present Sacred Peak with Flying Cranes (Reihō Hikaku), one of Taikan’s most celebrated paintings of Mount Fuji and the original design for the main stage curtain of the Kabukiza Theatre. This masterpiece will be on display for the first time in five years.
