Theme: Okakura Tenshin’s Vision and the Founding of the Nihon Bijutsuin
Exhibition Overview:
This exhibition focuses on Okakura Tenshin’s pioneering vision for the revitalization of Japanese art and the ideals that shaped the early years of the Nihon Bijutsuin. Through the works of master artists who were active during its founding period and deeply influenced by Tenshin’s philosophy, we trace the origins and early development of the Nihon Bijutsuin.
