Until completion, he tried to refine the structure of the work over and over again.35或ある日ひの太たい平へい洋よう昭和27（1952）年掛軸紙本131.0 × 64.0 cm 高く激しく打ち寄せる波濤の向こうに富士がそびえ、黒雲から龍が■い上がる。制作された昭和27年はサンフランシスコ講和条約が締結され、日本が主権を回復した年であり、昇天する龍には、日本の復興と発展への願いが込められているようである。完成にいたるまでに、大観は幾度も構成を練り直しており、本作はそのうちの一点。最終的に日本美術院展に出品された作品は、東京国立近代美術館の所蔵となっている。A Day of the Pacific Ocean
