Taikan has also made many drawings for fukusa (gift covers), obi (sashes), kimonos, tableware, etc. He contributed in passing on the tradition of the Japanese-style painting that also flowered into applied arts (art integrated into everyday life.)27竹ちく林りん之の図ず昭和14（1939）年頃額絹本62.0 × 61.0 cm 風呂敷の原図として描かれた作品。このほかにも大観は、袱紗や帯、着物、陶磁器などのために多くの絵を描いており、応用美術（生活に溶け込んだ美術）においても開花した日本絵画の伝統も受けついでいたことがわかる。Bamboo Grove
