In this work, Taikan is testing new ink-and-wash techniques including extremely fine lines that could break continuity, blurs that only spread on one side, etc. 12月げっ下か逍しょう遙よう大正10（1921）年頃掛軸絹本143.0 × 57.0 cm 月明かりに照らし出された小道を高士たちがそぞろ歩く。仙境をイメージさせるこの幻想的な光景は、宋の詩人・蘇軾による「後赤壁賦」の一節「二客予に従いて黄泥の坂を過ぐ」に取材したものである。衣服の描写に見られる途切れそうに細い線や、岩の描写に見られる片側に広がるぼかしなど、新しい水墨表現も見られる。Moonlight Stroll
